One founder. $100. A very unreasonable ambition.

Build an AI company from a garage start-up to a research campus. Take client contracts, research new capabilities, hire specialists and launch products to fund the next breakthrough.

Your competitors - ChatABC, Claudette, Frog and ShallowFind - have ambitions of their own. Create aligned AGI first to win. A rival can get there before you. An unaligned AGI launch means everyone loses.

Build carefully. The bills still arrive.

• Grow through four workspaces with visible staff and equipment.
• Balance client work, research, products, payroll and rent.
• Follow returning clients through three-part stories.
• Choose your scope: more learning and reward can bring extra costs and overruns.
• Play a multi-year campaign with configurable difficulty, or the shorter Launch Day challenge.

Free alpha, actively in development. Visuals, balance and mobile usability are still evolving. Tell us where you got confused, when you got bored, and whether you wanted another session.

Play

Browser: use full-screen. Saves stay in this browser; clearing site data can remove them. Saves do not automatically transfer to the downloads.

Windows: extract the ZIP and run AI Dev Tycoon.exe.

Android: install the APK in landscape orientation. This is an experimental playtest build. Install over an earlier test version to keep saves.

Controls

Use the on-screen menus. Explore workspace opens the camera: drag and mouse-wheel zoom on PC; drag and pinch on phones. Space pauses/resumes, Ctrl+S saves, and the speed controls change simulation speed.

Development notes

Version 1.32. Built with Godot 4.7.2. Development uses AI-assisted workflow. Character mesh parts are generated with Blender. Fictional companies are not affiliated with real AI providers.
